I have always enjoyed spending time with people and helping them to achieve their goals. I have worked as an educator in the role of teacher, Special Education facilitator, principal and mentor for almost 20 years. This experience in education allowed me the privilege to work with diverse children, adolescents and adults valuing the importance of empathetic listening and collaboration. These relationships and partnerships have broadened my understanding of the uniqueness of individual stories, strengths, resilience and identity. My past in education, along with a Masters in Education and Masters in Psychology grant me the lens to take a solution focus and collaborative approach to psychotherapy. Based on the needs and experiences of the client, I approach therapy using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy and Somatic Psychotherapy. Personally, I live with my husband and two sons where we enjoy the outdoors through running, trail riding, cycling and swimming.
I am currently a master’s level MA in Counselling Psychology practicum student who is qualified to practice at the practicum site under the clinical supervision of an approved practicum Supervisor, Michelle Brans MACP RP.
I provide a compassionate, evidence-based approach to help you manage overwhelming emotions, restore balance, and reconnect with your strengths. Whether you’re navigating burnout, chronic stress, or low mood, I’m here to support your healing.
With experience in special education & education systems, I offer guidance to help you advocate for your child’s unique needs, navigate IEPs, and build confidence in your parenting journey. Together, we’ll create strategies that honour your family’s values and strengths.
I specialize in supporting women navigating the challenges of ADHD and the pressures of caregiving or professional roles. My goal is to help you feel seen, empowered, and equipped with strategies that work for your brain and your life.
